Important Deadlines

• Final paper elections/changes are due to Marla by February 13.

• Last day for online transactions at Alerus/myMERS: February 24 at 4 p.m.

• myMERS access ends: June 30, 2026 (download past statements before then).

• After the transition, all future changes must be made through Empower.

 

Checklist for Members

• Turn in final paper elections to Marla by Feb 13.

• Submit any last online changes before Feb 24 at 4 p.m.

• Review your investments before the blackout begins.

• Download any needed statements/1099s from myMERS before June 30.

• Watch for instructions to register your new Empower account.

• After the transition, make all changes directly through empower.com/MERS.

• Log in once the blackout ends to verify personal info and banking details.

• Explore Empower’s financial tools once your account is live.
